How LawnValue Generated 2,000+ Leads and Funded a New State Expansion

A Tennessee lawn care provider ditched traditional mailers for a full-funnel digital strategy, generating 2,000+ leads across four channels, jumping from page 3 to page 1 on Google Maps, and using the revenue to open a Florida branch in under 12 months.

The Challenge

Traditional Media Was Not Scaling

LawnValue built their customer base the way most local service businesses do: direct mail, magazine ads, word of mouth. The problem is those channels hit a ceiling. You can only mail so many postcards before the cost per acquisition makes growth unsustainable. And you cannot track which mailer produced which customer or which service area is generating the best return.

In 2022, LawnValue needed more than leads. They needed a foundation that could grow with the business. Their Google Business Profile was buried on page 3 of local results, ranked #42 for their core search terms. They had no Google Ads presence, no social advertising, and no way to see which marketing activities were generating actual customers versus just impressions.

The Strategy

Four Channels, One Coordinated Market Presence

We built a full-market saturation strategy across four channels, each serving a different role in the customer journey.

Google Ads captured high-intent searchers: homeowners actively looking for lawn care services right now. We analyzed trending search terms specific to home services in the Tennessee area and built campaigns around the terms with the clearest buying intent, using A/B testing and proven ad templates to accelerate the optimization window. Google Local Service Ads ran alongside to capture the book-now segment that clicks on the lead-guarantee listings.

Facebook Ads built brand awareness and captured homeowners who were not actively searching but would be in the market within weeks or months. High-quality visual creatives with consistent themes and clear calls-to-action ran across the service area, generating 3.3M+ impressions and building LawnValue into a recognizable name in their territory before a customer ever searched for them.

Google Business Profile optimization ran throughout the engagement: SEO-optimized images twice weekly, a new review-request system to build social proof, and consistent updates to improve local pack ranking. The account climbed from #42 to #13, first page, generating over 700 direct customer actions from the map listing alone.

The Results

2,000+ Leads, Page 1 Rankings, and a New State

The campaign generated 2,000+ leads across all four channels in under 12 months. At an average annual contract value of $1,500 for recurring lawn care services, closing 10% of that lead volume adds $300,000 in recurring annual revenue to the business. Those customers renew, refer, and expand services over time.

The channel breakdown showed what each platform does best. Google Ads delivered 1,200+ direct conversions from 11,000+ clicks, the highest-intent, fastest-closing leads in the mix. Local Service Ads produced 230+ phone leads and 70+ message leads from buyers who clicked the guaranteed booking listing. Facebook's 100,000+ clicks and 1,000+ conversions from 3.3M impressions showed that awareness-stage advertising converts when you let it run long enough to build recognition.

The real proof was what LawnValue did with the revenue: in November 2023, they launched a new branch in Florida. A company that was struggling with flat growth and a page-3 Google ranking used the results from a 12-month digital campaign to fund market expansion into a new state. The digital foundation they built in Tennessee became the playbook for how they entered Florida.

Leads in 12 Months and Enough Revenue to Open a New State

Direct mail and magazine ads will get you to a point. Then they stop scaling. The shift to a four-channel digital strategy gave LawnValue something traditional media never could: a measurable, optimizable lead machine that grew faster the longer it ran. The proof is the Florida branch they opened in November 2023, funded by the results of the first 12 months.
