Objective
The objective of this SOP is to review search terms for conversion rates greater than 100% to identify and resolve any conversion tracking issues in Google Ads.
Key Steps
- Go to Google Ads.
- Navigate to Insights and Reports, then go to search terms.
- Check if the conversion rate column is visible. If not, select columns, click modify columns, check the box next to conversion rate, and click save.
- Click on the conversion rate column to filter by highest conversion rates.
- Check for any conversion rates over 100%.
- If conversion rates are 100% or lower, the conversion tracking is accurate.
- If conversion rates are over 100%, investigate further.
Cautionary Notes
- Ensure that the conversion count is set to 1 conversion, not every conversion.
- Avoid tracking the same conversion action multiple times as it can lead to overcounting conversions.
