Key Steps

  1. Access the admin console in Google Tag Manager and login to the Squarespace website.

  5. Copy the top section code from Google Tag Manager and paste it into the header section in Squarespace.
  6. Copy the second code from Google Tag Manager and paste it above any other code in the footer section in Squarespace.
  7. Save the changes in Squarespace.
  8. Check if the changes are published on the Squarespace website.
  9. Return to Google Tag Manager, go to the workspace, and click on “Preview.”
  10. Paste the website URL into the preview section to check if the Google Tag Manager is connected.
  11. Ensure that the Tag Assistant shows as connected on the website to confirm successful installation.
