Key Steps:

  1. Ensure you have admin access to your WordPress website and have your Google Tag Manager account set up.
  2. In your Google Tag Manager account, navigate to Admin and then select Install Google Tag Manager.
  3. In WordPress, go to Plugins and search for “WP Code.” Install and activate the WP Code plugin.
  4. Access the Code Snippets section within WP Code plugin.
  5. Copy the Google Tag Manager code from your Google Tag Manager account.
  6. Paste the code in the Header section within the Code Snippets.
  7. Paste the code in the Body section within the Code Snippets.
  8. Save changes in the Code Snippets.
  9. Go back to Google Tag Manager and type in the website where you added the code.
  10. Click on Test. If you see a green checkmark, it means the code is successfully running.
  11. If the green checkmark is not visible, wait for a few hours and try again. If issues persist after 24 hours, contact Creekside Marketing for assistance.
